Norwegian sea food at Aker Brygge If you're looking for the culinaric highlights of the world, you've come to the wrong place. Norwegian food is (according to experts and foreigners) boring and tasteless. Be sure to also get the ferry ride from the harbour near city hall, as well as the other museums on the quiet Bygdøy peninsula. |

Recovered in 2006 after one of the biggest bank robberies in Norwegian history, they have unfortunately been damaged for ever, but have been restored and are back on display. |

The area surrounding the ski jump Holmenkollen Take the metro up to Holmenkollen and check out the old ski jump (they're thinking of replacing it, as it actually doesn't have an elevator!) with the ski museum, see the magnificent view of Oslo from up there or go hiking in the tranquil woods near Frognerseteren. |

The fortress itself is quite small, but interesting (it even has a ghost) and representative for the Norwegian life at the time it was built. The green areas are also nice for picnics or relaxing. |
