Congrats on deciding to live in Oslo! You may have heard lots of different stories about life in Oslo, and most of them are probably true in some way or the other. Yes, Norwegians can be cold and reserved (especially at first), but in Oslo there are people from all over Norway (and the rest of the world) looking to meet new friends and experience something new. Yes, Oslo is increasingly filling up with beggars, drug addicts and prostitutes (as other capitals have been for decades), but they mostly stay in secluded areas in Oslo and won’t bother you if you know where to go. And yes, Oslo is a city very close to beautiful nature and lots of space and wildlife, but I dare say it has all the facilities you might expect from a modern capital, only in a somewhat smaller scale, perhaps!
